March 25 Update; HELP NEEDED

Welcome Back to Springs of Life!

MARCH into view of SUMMER CAMP 2025!

With literally WEEKS away from welcoming Campers back for SoLC’s Grand Re-Opening, we continue to watch God make incredible progress towards finishing the dorms in time for their arrival.

Richard Shelton and his team of huge-hearted servicemen have begun painting and installing the electrical in the bedrooms, while the shower-room epoxy team waits for the word to engage. As it begins to warm up in Patrick Springs, we are NOW ready to start scheduling service teams to jump in. Between the work in the dorms, soon-to-begin work on the Swimming Pool, to the mowing prep work around the grounds; there is no shortage of opportunities for everyone! We would LOVE to have you come up to see and serve!

UPDATE: So far the Lord has provided 5 teenagers who are planning to serve with us this summer!

With a total of 4 back-to-back weeks of Bible Camp scheduled for this summer’s Grand Re-Opening! Continue praying with us for the 15-20 staffers that we hope to have on our ministry team this year! That’s right, we’re still praying for 15-20 staffers!

We had the privilege to present this new ministry at the “Christian Camp and Conference Association” (CCCA) southeastern super-sectional early this month! We are excited to have made some new friends from other Summer Camps around the East Coast!

2025 marks the 4th year of serving with a core ministry team in our community to organize a Praise and Worship/Evangelistic networking event for the families in Patrick County! Please join us in praying over this year’s transitions, planning, resources, and for the community response during this exciting event!

God is Restoring our Community through Restoring Relationships

When I acknowledge that I get to be a small part of God’s Story, I am able to see where He is working in and through my life.

A huge part of our story is hidden in past relationships, specifically in how both of our ministries responded amidst the circumstances we shared. With nearly 200 church-families serving together to accomplish the work of ministry at Springs of Life Camp over the last 50 years, by 2015 that number had reduced down to a single digit.

Today, we have 22 local churches, families, and other organizations serving together on pursuit to restore not only the facilities, but also the relationships of Springs of Life Camp.

We are eager to bring even more of the local churches in Patrick County, VA onto the leadership team as we move closer to the goal of being an intentional ministry fixture in our area.

Please pray with us as we prepare for our next Member Meeting on Friday, April 25th in the Dining Hall. If you are a part of a local church who already has a relationship with our ministry, be sure to ask someone in leadership about how you are represented within the membership at Springs of Life!
