Ready or Not, HERE THEY COME!!!!

Welcome to the Grand Re-opening of the NEW Springs of Life Camp! Tomorrow begins 4 back-to-back weeks of Summer Camp! Join us in praying for the hearts of the campers who will be traveling to Patrick Springs this summer, along with the counselors and leaders coming to serve alongside our staff.

IN THE MEANTIME…..

INTRODUCING: Your 2025 Summer Camp Staffers! (pictured: Micah, Josh, Abigail, Addie, Molly, Noel, Josiah, and Benny)

Traveling to Patrick Springs over a combined 2,550 miles (one way!), this special ministry team consists of a perfect mix of huge-hearted guys and gals. Please pray for the future of these young people who have been led to use their gift, talents, and abilities to honor the Lord this summer through the power of Summer Bible Camp! Pray also for the Springs of Life Camp leadership team in this beautiful, summer-long discipleship opportunity!

Summer Camp Prayer Schedule(pictured: Legacy Camp week Soft-Launch 2024): Here’s the Summer Schedule so that you can have specifics to pray:

Week 1: Calvary Chapel Lynchburg - High School

Week 2: Adventure Camp for Christ (AWANA Scholarship Camp)

Week 3: God Built Character (Combines the following Legacy weeks: Joys of Life; Standing in the GAP; and Changing for Christ)

Week 4: Calvary Chapel Lynchburg - Middle School

Here’s a little of what we’ve been up to over the last few weeks!

The Student Dormitory! We’ve come such a long way since we gutted the dorms back in 2021 to intentionally provide a safe and comfortable space for campers! We are pleased to tell you that the top floor is fully operational and we are eager to make the downstairs available.

Downstairs of the Dorms(pictured: service team installing bathroom stalls downstairs): We were OH so close to being ready for this summer. With a few uncontrollable construction delays, we’re back on track to finish up by the end of the year. Join us as we pray for the Lord to provide the final funds necessary for the bunkbeds & mattresses that will furnish all eight dorm rooms. The cost to furnish beds in each room is expected to be around $6,500.

Outside: More than just mowing!(pictured: service team digging out the creek to make bigger): Yes, it takes an entire team of people to manage the outside at Springs of Life Camp! In addition to the hours of mowing each week, the Lord has provided a huge list of His people who seem to always show up at the perfect time. From weed eating and spraying, to loving on the creek to provide a fun and safe natural water play area for the kids, we are incredibly thankful everyone who reaches out for a “quick family service project”!

KUDZU, KUDZU, EVERYWHERE!!!(pictured: service team leader managing the kudzu behind the dorms): For longer than any of us can remember, battling the kudzu around the property has been an ongoing project. With the assurance of that blessed hope, we look forward to one day living in a perfect world, free from this kind of evil. In the meantime, we are especially thankful for those who have that special knack for taking on projects like this one!!

Utilizing the new Camp Kitchen!(pictured: baked goods for fundraising for an international missions trip): One of our favorite resources is the Camp kitchen. Not only do we feed hundreds of people in the context of summer camp and retreats, but we also utilize this tool to tell God’s Story through the power of food! Coming Soon: Church/Ministry Event Catering by Springs of Life Camp!

Weekend Retreats!!!(pictured: Goodwill Baptist Ladies from Richmond, VA): Respite for ALL ages, shapes and sizes! Reach out to schedule a weekend retreat for youth, couples, families, men, or women! Come and immerse yourself in all that the Lord has accomplished through His Church at Springs of Life Camp!

The Creeklife Coffee Co! (pictured: service team that transported almost 5,000 lbs. of green coffee to Patrick Springs): If you’ve already tried Springs of Life Camp’s: Creekside Coffee, then you already know the quality difference between our own custom coffee and other big-box varieties. BIG THINGS are happening in our coffee outreach ministries. Follow THIS LINK to learn more about the origins of this innovative ministry that we prayed for!

Reconnecting with friends from the past!!!(pictured: Mary Lou Perez with Chris): There’s something especially sweet about reconnecting with people who played a part in a significant season in our lives.

Springs of Life Camp was the backdrop for seasons like that in the lives of multitudes of people over the years. Please reach out to arrange a private “back-lot” tour to intimately see and chat about all of the things the Lord has accomplished over the years.

The Swimming Pool Project (pictured: what remains of the swimming pool): If you came to Summer Camp almost anytime since 1958, you most assuredly remember some version of the camp pool. Over the years, one of the many mineral springs found its way underneath of the pool and wreaked havoc on the very foundation, rendering the area all but useless. Pray with us as we look ahead to this next BIG project in the restoration of Springs of Life Camp. So far, we have a plan to relieve the water back-flow, but we are preparing for what looks like will be a close to $300,000 project that will restore this area and bring it up to present day code specifications.

Day Camp 2025: The tentative date for Day Camp 2025 is Saturday, August 16th, 2025. This is for children and youth under 18 y/o with-in driving distance
