When we prayed for a way to share the story about Springs of Life Camp in places that social media couldn’t reach, God answered with a powerful resource in Springs of Life Camp’s: Creekside Coffee initiative.

Today, we are pleased to share with you that we are in process to merge this extension of our ministry with Blossom Creek Coffee Farm in Santa Barbara, Honduras!

And we need YOUR help to get things off the ground!…Coffee Ground that is :)

Boy did Summer get here quick!

Thank you to everyone who put in the effort to be on-site to help in with a number of projects over the last several weeks! We certainly would not be as far as we are if it hadn’t been for you! Here are a few things that we still have to go to be ready for final inspections…

The PC Building Inspector along with the VA Health Inspectors are willing to issue temporary permits to open for the summer pending the following items:

Student Dormitory: Safety Handrails installed on left and right sides of the entryway stairs; additional surface coverings in the shower rooms to prevent future bacteria issues; re-arrange dorm rooms to maximize max-occupancy space; and, clear out clutter from remaining building materials
Commercial Kitchen: Move in and set all appliances; finish final trim-work details; final scrub-down to remove construction dust; and, the fire/hood vent system final inspection
Chapel: Declutter storage items; tighten auditorium seats; deep cleaning; HVAC inspection; and, A/V inspection
Creekside Cafe (formerly the Snack Shop): Pack up and deliver remaining yard-sale items; set-up and inspect all game tables; deep clean appliances and game areas; and set up tables and chairs from the gym
Open Air-Gym: Relocate lingering building materials; separate furniture for use/scrap yard; pressure wash floor; set up basketball goals; and clean up landscaping around gym
Swimming Pool: Secure swimming pool area by establishing clearly posted “CAUTION” signage to isolate that area until phase 2 of the Nehemiah Project
“Around Camp” Attractions: Resurface the horseshoe pits; rake down sawdust around swings; weed eat around creek beds and common areas; set-up soccer goals; inventory and organize field-play and gaming equipment; and black-top clean up for volleyball court
As you can see, we have lot to get done with only have a few more Service Saturdays on the calendar before Campers begin to arrive. WE NEED ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET!

“COFFEE with a Purpose” and the hands that have prepared it…

Coffee Sundays!

From the skits in Chapel, to meal-time fellowship in the Dining Hall… Springs of Life Camp is all about relationships. As our ministry teams emerge from this season of restoration, we all agree that we have had to redefine how we understand the traditional missionary lifestyle.

Years ago, it seemed that most local churches’ idea of “supporting missions” began and ended at writing a check and putting a pin on a map somewhere in the church building. Today, we are intentionally pursuing local church families who desire a Christ-centered and missions-minded relationship as we pursue families together for the sake of the Gospel.

Over the last several weeks we have seen people from all over the place, show up in Patrick Springs to serve wherever they were needed. In fact, we saw 9 local churches from Patrick County come to help in a variety of ways! Don't miss how HUGE that this is, despite the reputation that Springs of Life had carried over the years. Still with lots to do to be ready for this years soft-launch, our on-the-ground ministry teams are incredibly encouraged as we press forward to the goal! We praise God for how far He has led us over just a small period of time in the grander scheme of HIS-tory.

While we continue to grow relationships in our own community, we can’t help but celebrate the ones beyond Patrick Springs who continue to partner with us to tell the story of what God is doing throughout His Church. Just a few weeks ago we had the privilege to be a small part of Sunday morning at Grace Baptist Church, an alumni church in Winston Salem where we had another opportunity to share God’s Story through our coffee platform! Our team had many conversations about the new Creeklife Coffee Co. and how the Lord is using this unique network to fund ministry all over the world! We look forward to what He has in store for some of the new partnerships that He seems to be queuing up!

Special Prayer Needs:

Continue to pray for the Lord’s provision for laborers and the resources necessary for the grand re-opening of Springs of Life Camp.

Join us in praying over what God has in store for this Summer. Specifically the staffers He will send, and that He is already working in the hearts of those coming to serve with each week of Camp and the Campers who will experience each one.
