Day Eight (Saturday 11/4/2023)

INAUGURATION DAY!!!

This is the day that the community at Blossom Creek and the many service teams have been working towards for 4 years. We are happily humbled to have been a part of this very special occasion! The day was certainly full of celebrating in so many ways!

The morning’s devotional was beautiful and primed the day perfectly for sharing stories about God’s goodness both in Santa Barbara and in the lives of people all over the world.

When most think of praising and worshipping, music comes to mind. While there was a fair amount of singing, we watched all week long as people worshipped through their gifts, abilities, and talents. From building, cooking, cleaning, driving, translating, and fellowshipping, all glory to God for the good that we experienced this week.

After our time of corporate worship, the Blossom Creek ministry team had prepared a presentation “From the ground to the Cup”, that took the group on an in depth journey of the coffee farm. When most people have their morning “cup of joe”, they’re usually motivated by the caffeine to help jump start their day. This presentation was truly an eye opener to the intricacy behind each cup of coffee. The passion invested in each touch in the life of a coffee bean, and the families who’s generations have perfected the science of organic farming gives us a whole new appreciation!

While the farming process is most impressive, what’s even more beautiful is the gospel presentation through God’s creation of this incredible artform. Ideally presented through a tour of the mountain, the Blossom Creek ministry team did a marvelous job creating an experience that truly immersed us in this part of their story.

After the presentation, we had the opportunity to explore some of the projects that had been tackled throughout the week, followed by a few moments of rest and exploration.

The evening wrapped up with the official Inaugural celebration to dedicate both the training center and house on the hill. The stories from families who had farmed on this mountain for generations brought to life a story that is so much bigger than we could ever imagine…. God’s story.

We are eager to edit the video’s from the week to share with you to help with adding more substance of what the Lord is doing in Honduras through His people all over the world who’s goal can be summed up in one goal: To glorify God in all we do.
