We’re renovating inside & out.

Restoring more than a rundown summer camp, through the Nehemiah Project at Springs of Life Camp, lives are being restored back into fellowship with the people of the Church and ultimately back into a deeper understanding and relationship with God and His Story.

The Nehemiah Project

“AND THE GOD OF HEAVEN WILL MAKE US PROSPER, AND WE HIS SERVANTS WILL ARISE AND BUILD.”
- NEH. 2:20

Why are we renovating?

We’re engaging with the Church (Individuals who comprise local searches) to see out the vision of The Nehemiah Project to:

  • Restore the reputation of the Ministry

  • Recondition the facilities to be safe & appealing

  • Revitalize the Ministry’s ability to serve

The plan began to unfold back in 2014 when a survey team visited the working remains of Springs of Life Camp, a Bible Camping Association ministry that once served a weekly average of 150-200 campers across 13 weeks each summer.

Because of rapidly decomposing facilities and an overwhelmingly rugged property to manage, by 2015 the association had dwindled to less than 7 local churches and camper attendance edged to nearly 100 that were served across the entire summer.

As the last bus drove away in August 2019, we had no idea that we would be saying goodbye to Summer Bible Camping Ministries for the next 3 years. Not because of a worldwide pandemic, economic distress, or relational woes; rather the Lord had BIG things lining up...an awakening was on the horizon.

See Our Progress

In addition to these active projects, we will eventually also renovate the amphitheater, Dude City Sports Annex, the ball fields, and the mineral springs!
